“Play is the highest form of research” Albert Einstein
You can expect a day full of fun and learning with activities that stretch and stimulate your child’s learning through play in a nurturing environment.
Activities are planned around children’s individual interests, ways of learning and stages of learning and development, incorporated into a daily routine.
We provide healthy and well-balanced meals, covering a wide range of dietary requirements. All meals are cooked fresh on site. Staff sit with the children and encourage positive table manners by helping the children and through role modelling.
We encourage the children to take part in a variety of outdoor activities covering all the 7 areas of learning.
Parents are encouraged to allow their children to become independent in the Grasshoppers room, giving the children the confidence and ability to transition to their next steps of education. This also eases the transition for you as parents.
At Western Elms we follow the document ‘Development Matters,’ as well as the Early years foundation stage 2021.
